OLD BRIDGE, N.J. (2/19/03)–R.J. Brunelli & Co., Inc. today announced that it has signed new agreements for tenant representation services in New Jersey with KinderCare Learning Centers, Lumiere Candles & Beyond, Quizno’s Subs and Work Out World.

KinderCare, headquartered in Portland, Ore., appointed Brunelli as preferred broker for Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset, Essex and Union counties. In this capacity, the Old Bridge, N.J.-based retail real estate firm will be seeking sites in high-growth areas that can accommodate a building of approximately 10,000 square feet, playground of approximately 13,000 square feet, as well as parking for at least 35 cars. Locations must offer a child population density within a three-mile radius of 2,500 in the 0-4 years range and 5,000 in the 0-9 years range, along with a median annual household income of at least $50,000. KinderCare is the nation’s largest for-profit pre-school educational and childcare provider, with over 1,250 centers. Lumiere, based on Freehold, N.J., retained Brunelli as exclusive leasing representative for the entire New York/New Jersey/Pennsylvania area. The retailer of better quality candles and other home accessories is seeking spaces of approximately 3,000 square feet in upscale lifestyle centers. Lumiere opened its first store in The Commons at Holmdel during 2002 and, in two other deals brokered by Brunelli prior to entering into the exclusive agreement, signed leases for locations at The Promenade in Edgewater and The Shops at Union Hill in Denville, both expected to open by this June.

Quizno’s Subs, headquartered in Denver, Colo., retained Brunelli as exclusive broker for Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean counties to support its entry into New Jersey. The franchise chain, which currently has over 1,800 locations worldwide, seeks freestanding or shared pad, as well as in-line spaces in the 1,400- to 1,800-square-foot range at neighborhood centers, community centers or regional malls, and in central business districts. Work Out World, based in Brick, N.J., retained Brunelli as exclusive broker for locations throughout New Jersey, with an immediate emphasis on Mercer and Middlesex counties. The operator and licensor of upscale, full-service health clubs, currently has seven company-owned facilities in New Jersey and 12 licensed locations in New England and Japan. Work Out World is seeking spaces of 21,000 to 25,000 square feet in freestanding buildings or strip centers of all sizes with ample parking.
