R.J. BRUNELLI ANNOUNCES NEW NATIONAL AND NEW JERSEY TENANT REP ASSIGNMENTS
Retail leasing specialists R.J. Brunelli & Co., Inc., today announced new national and New Jersey tenant representation assignments for Athena Learning Centers, Burger King Corporation and D’Angelo Italian Market.
The Old Bridge-based firm was appointed exclusive national real estate representative for Athena Learning Centers, a chain of after-school tutoring centers founded in 2011. Headquartered in Princeton, N.J., the company currently has five company-owned and franchised locations in Middletown, N.J.; Orlando, Fla; and Katy, College Station, and Coppell, Texas. Three additional locations are currently scheduled to open in Marlboro, Princeton and Freehold, N.J.
The company is seeking 1,600- to 2,000-square-foot end-cap or pad spaces in high exposure strip centers along major retail corridors. Under the agreement, R.J. Brunelli will assist the company and its franchisees with site selection in Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets within a five-hour drive of its New Jersey office. Outside that area, the firm will work in concert with affiliate brokers who are part of the national Realty Resources network, as well as independent brokers in those areas that are not covered by Realty Resources members. In all cases, R.J. Brunelli will be the initial direct contact with the franchisee and manage the overall leasing process in association with Athena’s executive team. In its Burger King assignment, R.J. Brunelli will be working with Burger King Corporation to find locations for its franchisees in five central New Jersey counties: Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset and Hunterdon. The chain is seeking freestanding or shopping center end-cap spaces of 3,000 to 3,500 square feet that can accommodate a drive-thru window, with parking for approximately 45 cars. New construction or existing buildings will be considered along major highways or neighborhood retail corridors, according to R.J. Brunelli vice president Ron DeLuca, who manages the account.
